Enough is enough. Newly discovered secret Grand Jury has been convened to investigate "war crimes" by the CIA. This Justice Department is a disgrace.
This isn't their first rodeo. They have have brought scorn and ridicule upon themselves numerous times in their short existence. A few come to mind off the top of my head.
After a conviction was in hand, the Justice Department released a couple of New Black Panthers who were clearly physically intimidating voters. Walking back and forth AT the polling place with clubs and in uniform. Videotaped doing so. Admitted guilt and sentenced. Released by Eric Holder. Says black people aren't part of the power, part of the construct - they can't be racist or violate the voter intimidation laws. They are the oppressed, according to Obama and Holder.
Against the advice of nearly everyone except for Lynne Stewart, Holder proposed having trials for blood-thirsty terrorists in NYC. When they hold their first trial, a terrorist (confessed) was charged with 21 crimes largely to do with the bombings in Africa in the late '90s. Hundreds of dead. He was convicted of one minor charge. They had to throw out evidence that wasn't obtained in accordance with the US legal system. Interrogations happen in every war. None of that information can be used because Eric Holder hates George Bush.
But there is more, much more. How about an operation by the Justice Department to show how bad gun owners are and how our ridiculously lax gun laws (in their opinion) contribute to crime. They (Justice) track hundreds of weapons that are illegally sold to Mexican drug cartels. They don't stop the sales. They don't seize the weapons. They allow illegally sold weapons - assault rifles - to be sold to the most blood-thirsty criminals in the world. They thought they would be able to track the weapons and show that the crazy 2nd Amendment needs to be repealed. Show all the violence that the US foists upon the world with its outdated gun laws (by allowing ILLEGAL sales to happen). Those guns end up killing US Border Patrol agents. Whoops. Then Mr. Holder won't cooperate in the investigation (transparency). I am pretty sure this would bring down a Republican Administration. Don't hold your breath.
Back to the reason for the article. The outrage over the prosecution of a CIA agent who allegedly used unauthorized methods to get information from an alleged terrorist. We've seen this before. Prosecution of a SEAL who punched a terrorist in captivity. Punched. He, of course, was exonerated. But the gall of the leftists who would be outraged over this. It was embarrassing. And, when combined with the reckless attempts to close Guantanamo, it paints the picture of an Administration that has weak knees. This Administration should not be prosecuting wars. They are too effeminate to be in the business of war.
That did not stop them from preening and posing when OBL was killed. Had they not repeatedly stuck their fingers in the eyes of the military and CIA I would have wholeheartedly supported their swagger. They actually got OBL through methods over which they spent months wringing their hands.
Enough is enough.
